Laureates of the 23rd Crystal Wing were announced during the gala evening, which took place on February 9, 2020 in the new building of the Slovak National Theater. This year, the organizers also came up with a change in the visual design of the statuette Crystal Wing,, in which the RONA glassworks also participates.
The new prize is the result of the professional cooperation of a pair of visual artists – sculptor Ján Ťapák and designer Patrik Illo (designer of RONA). The combination of fragile crystal glass and strong bronze expresses the deep essence and idea of the Crystal Wing, namely discovering and highlighting the unique people and their professional performances that deserve the greatest respect. We are proud to participate in the valuation of those who actuate Slovakia!
The Crystal Wing has been awarded annually to celebrities in Slovakia since 1997 and has since become a respected award reflecting the laureate’s highest expertise. The award is given in various sectors of social, cultural, economic and public life.
