The President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Čaputová visited the Trenčín Region on Thursday, January 16, 2020. In addition to meetings with representatives of the City of Trenčín, the Ground Forces Command in Trenčín, the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Centre of Excellence (EOD CoE), the President’s trip included a visit to Lednice Rovne and our company RONA, which represents Slovakia all around the world. Accompanied by RONA’s management, the president viewed the local glass production with more than 125 years of tradition.
“RONA is interesting because it is one of the largest employers in the Trenčín region, employing more than 1,200 people. At the same time, they export their products to several countries of the world. I had a chance to try what those gentlemen and ladies were doing. It is a very challenging environment and it is not easy to form such beautiful shapes from hot and liquid material. It was a very interesting experience, “said Čaputová, who tried glass blowing directly in production.
